‘Millie’ was my first gundog that I trained
and she picked
up 7 Working Test awards.
I had a go at trialling her but we never quite
made the grade. Having said that
I would not be
without her, as during the winter months as she
is my main picking
up dog and loves her work.

Life
is one long party for ‘Covey’ –
she will retrieve 24/7 and
we joke
that if she could drive she would
take herself to Training Classes.
life usually gets the
better of her,
although she did
manage to contain
herself when I won
top Novice Dog with
her at the Southern
Inter-Club Team
Event in 2008.

Trick or Treat – ‘Trick’
• Optigen clear by
parentage
‘Trick’ was born on Halloween in 2009 and is
out of ‘Covey’ x
FTCh Bedgebrook Excalibur.
So far she is proving to have all of her mother’s
zest for life combined
with a lovely biddable
temperament from her father, ‘Scally’.
‘Trick’
is now being trained in Florida on a
private quail Reserve and I will be following
her progress with interest.

‘Wisp’ is litter sister to ‘Feathers’ and
along with Working Test awards she
is our duck flighting girl.
Fast and hard working, she is always
on the go, and no matter what the
temperature is in the winter months
she will work endlessly.
